In a bizarre crossover event that challenges traditional predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Disclosed

According to the official statement, "A strange confrontation leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where hints of forbidden practices and monstrous metamorphoses reverberate through the darkness." The storyline presents a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a clandestine sect.

The questline focuses on "strange trials and a fearsome foe" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Transformations

The teaser showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer concludes with a powerful sequence showing a character, presumably the captive, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Additional Material

Players who successfully complete the quest will obtain an special katana in addition to numerous objects hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
